APPLICATION OF CRITICAL PATH METHOD (CPM) TO OPTIMAL PROJECT SCHEDULING: A CASE OF MOSUL BUILDING COMPANY, YOLA NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT ADAMAWA STATE, NIGERIA

Project cannot be done without planning, scheduling and an estimation of its duration for completion. Every project that has to undertaken must have a deadline it completion but not every goes as schedule. Hence, applications scientific method such CPM, PERT are often very useful in management scheduling. This study was on the application CPM building construction taking case Mosul Estate construction. Analytical research design adopted suit at hand. Secondary data activities, their descriptions predecessor while were obtained from site. The network activities diagram, forward backward pass by temporary ordered routing algorithm (TORA) drawn critical path represented bold arrow heads. results show if is applied into project, can completed 27 weeks compared initial 32 proposed company. implemented firm will save cost labour time. We recommend should used company before embarking building. devote more resources, equipment order avoid unnecessary delay high labour.
